The world of Young Living

The world of Young Living

Already knowing and appreciating the inestimable value of pure essential oils and the immense benefits they can bring to overall health and wellness, Young Living has created the largest and most technologically advanced essential oil distillery in North America.

Today, Young Living is inspiring more and more people everywhere to try the gifts of nature to improve their health, harmony and inner balance.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are aromatic volatile liquids distilled from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots and seeds.

In other words, they are the very essence of plants. A plant contains essential oil as a component of its own immune system, which it uses for protection and healing.

Each plant's essential oil has a unique chemical composition and this natural variety of chemical constituents works in unison with the human body for better physical functionality and energetic harmonisation.

Essential oils are highly concentrated and much more powerful than dry herbs. The distillation process is what makes essential oil so concentrated.

Why do we use Therapeutic Grade essential oils?

Many common volatile oils are extracted from plants using harsh chemical processes, either diluted or chemically produced in the laboratory. Some of these oils can even be toxic. That's why the source and quality of the oils we choose to use are so important.

Young Living essential oils are pure, unadulterated essential oils with therapeutic value and benefit the whole body through smell and direct absorption through the skin. They meet high industry standards that qualify them as Therapeutic Grade.

That's why doctors have chosen Young Living essential oils to promote health and wellness, and you can feel confident knowing they are safe and beneficial for you and your family.

The active Young Living ingredients used in their essential oils are 100% organic, organically grown, and are specially harvested and steam distilled to ensure the highest quality therapeutic grade.

They also contain no artificial colours, artificial flavours or additives.

What is Raindrop Technique?

Raindrop Technique with Young Living Essential Oils is a unique practice based on methods that have been used for centuries to invigorate the mind and body. Gary Young developed the technique during the 1980s, drawing on his research into essential oils as anti-microbial agents, supplemented by a wealth of information he found fascinating, inspired by South Dakota Native American tradition.

This technique helps to bring balance and harmony to the whole body by combining specific relaxation and energising massage techniques with the use of the purest essential oils.

Do you often feel weak, listless and lacking energy?

Do you feel stressed and tired?

Do you feel that you have poor body posture or temporary discomfort in your back?

Tension in your head?

If your answer is yes to at least one question you should know that a Raindrop session:

-envigorates the mind
-bring physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance
-strengthens the immune system
-strengthens the digestive, respiratory, hormonal, cardiovascular, endocrine, muscular and nervous systems.

Benefits of Raindrop Technique

Along with detoxifying the entire body, the aim of the Raindrop Technique is to stimulate every organ, muscle and bone of the body, down to the cellular level, through essential oils. It also aims to strengthen the immune system, bringing the body into structural and energetic balance, so as to allow the elimination of toxins whenever they are stored in the body.

To stimulate the detoxification process and to avoid stagnation of toxic fluids in the body it is essential to drink plenty of water after this session. Of course, it is not necessary to wait to get sick to benefit from this therapy.

Its detoxifying and cleansing effects on the liver and gall bladder, lymphatic system, blood, detoxification of heavy metals, as well as its ability to stimulate the immune system recommend it for cleansing and detoxifying the body and increasing resistance to disease in what we call preventive medicine, or healthy man medicine.

Essential oils used in Raindrop Technique

VALOR is the most important oil used in this treatment because it generates a state of courage and self-confidence. It works on both physical and emotional levels. It is a blend of herbal extracts that also helps to align the muscles of the back and spine.

THYME has the ability to support the immune system. It supports our natural defence system to the attack of any bacteria, fungi, infection or virus that may be present. Relieves fatigue and physical weakness after an illness.

OREGANO works in conjunction with thyme to strengthen the immune system and attacks bacteria and viruses thereby cleansing the receptor centres and balancing the metabolism.

BASIL relaxes muscles, may help maintain a healthy gastrointestinal system, improves poor memory and mental fatigue.

WINTERGREEN is good for eliminating discomfort associated with bone joint inflammation and muscle inflammation and helps cleanse the lymphatic system. WINTERGREEN is an herb native to the American continent, an analgesic, like a kind of natural aspirin. It even stimulates its own production of natural cortisone.

WINTERGREN is used to relax muscles, occasional headaches, soothes nerves, cramps and improves respiratory system activity. It also provides energy in times of stress and weakness.

CEDAR improves blood and lymph circulation, soothes spasms and swelling. Stimulates the production of white blood cells. Helps to restore cell programmes.

AROMA SIEZ relaxes, soothes and releases tension in muscles following sports training, fatigue or stress. It is a blend of herbal extracts, which helps to relieve muscle pain caused by cramps and all aches and pains

MINT is used to soothe and strengthen the nervous system, reduces inflammation and is highly effective when used for problems related to the respiratory system. It can help reduce fever, nausea and vomiting. It also stimulates the conscious mind and improves memory capacity. It supports the digestive system and detoxifies the liver. MINT also has a synergistic effect by applying the effect of all the essential oils applied.

ORTHO EASE OIL is a massage oil that relaxes all back muscles and energises at the same time. It can also be used on all leg muscles. Helps reduce stress.

V-6 OIL is used to dilute any of the oils that may feel too strong for some clients with more sensitive skin.

Emotional Release Therapy- Feelings

Do negative emotions seem to be getting out of control? Are you plagued by emotional clichés? Do you find it difficult to get out of a negative emotional state? Are you drawn into the emotional vortex of those around you?Do you repeatedly respond in the same negative way to situations despite your intentions to do otherwise? If you don't intend to express the emotion or dare to internalize it, what will you do with it?

Maybe you haven't even become aware of the emotional pattern because you are reacting to external factors!

A simple and very handy way that works and can help you in all these situations is the healing power of Essential Oils.

The scent of an essential oil can influence everything from our emotional state to the way we perceive life's problems.

When we inhale the scent of a flower or an essential oil, the fragrance molecules reach the olfactory neurons through the nostrils. Stimulated by the olfactory molecules, the lining of the nerve cells triggers electrical impulses to the olfactory bulb in the brain. The impulses are further transmitted to the taste centre, the limbic system (where emotional memories are stored) and other parts of the limbic system in the brain.

Because the limbic system is directly connected to those parts of the brain that control heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress levels and hormonal balance, essential oils can have profound, far-reaching effects on the physiological and psychological levels.

Essential oils, due to their very small molecules (they are volatile and transdermal), their aroma, their chemistry (very close to the human cell) and their high vibrational frequency, help to release emotional clues from the brain to the cellular level.

Gary Young, founder of Young Living, proposes to apply 6 or more blended oils (a mixture of several oils) on a case by case basis, on acupuncture points through therapeutic touch and supporting the client until the body is ready to release repressed emotions throughout the body. This therapy is non-invasive, the pace and number of sessions varies according to:

  • awareness of the emotional clise
  • recognition of the problem
  • whether the person is willing and ready for change
  • changing the emotional energy clise

The elements that are part of Feelings Therapy

FORGIVENESS "Forgiveness" contains a synergistic blend of calming and invigorating essential oils that stimulate the ability to eliminate negative memories and beyond that, emotional blockages. It has high frequencies that facilitate forgiveness, the idea of letting go of what was and moving on.We can only grow when we are able to forgive and let go.

COMPOSITION: Melissa (Melissa Officinalis), Geranium (Pelargonium Graveolens), Frankincense (Boswellia Carterii), Rosewood (Aniba Rosaeodora), Sandalwood (Santalum Album), Angelica (Angelica Archangelica), Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), Lemon (Citrus Limon), Jasmine (Jasminum Officinale), Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum Nobile), Bergamot (Citrus Aurantium Bergamia), Ylang Ylang (Canaga Odorata), Palmarosa (Cymbopogon Martini), Helichrysum (Helichrysum Italicum), and Rose (Rosa Damascena) in a sesame seed oil base.

HARMONY : "Harmony" is a refined blend of 12 essential oils that promotes physical and emotional healing by harmoniously balancing the body's energy centers, thereby streamlining the flow of energy. It helps reduce stress and creates an overall sense of well-being, dispelling feelings of discord. It is also uplifting and comforting to the mind, creating a positive attitude. COMPOSITION: Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), sandalwood (Santalum album), ylang ylang (Cananga odorata), frankincense (Boswellia carteri), orange (Citrus aurantium), angelica (Angelica archangelica), geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis), spruce (Picea mariana), Spanish sage (Salvia lavandulifolia), rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora), lemon (Citrus limon), jasmine (Jasminum officinale), Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile), bergamot (Citrus bergamia), palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii) and rose (Rosa damascena).

INNER CHILD: "Inner Child" is a formula that can stimulate childhood memories. When you find your inner child, you find your self-identity. Your inner child is your creativity". When the child has experienced trauma or abuse, they can "disconnect" from their inner child identity or being. This disconnection can be seen years later, manifesting as a mid-life crisis: the scent of your inner child can stimulate the memory response, helping to reconnect with your core identity. This is an essential step or condition for achieving emotional balance. COMPOSITION: Orange (Citrus aurantium), tangerine (Citrus nobilis), jasmine (Jasminum officinale), ylang ylang (Cananga odorata), spruce (Picea mariana), sandalwood (Santalum album), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus) and neroli (Citrus aurantium).

PRESENT TIME: "The Present" has an invigorating scent that inspires a sense of "being in the present moment". When we live in the past or future, we are not productive in the present moment and can only progress through emotional release, in the present tense. Withdrawing from the past can have adverse effects for us. We only move forward when we exist in the "here and now". COMPOSITION: Neroli (Citrus aurantium), spruce (Picea mariana) and ylang ylang (Cananga odorata) in an almond oil base.

RELEASE: "Spiritual Release" supports the release of traumatic memories from liver cells. Energy medicine says that energy from anger and hatred is stored in the liver. Negative emotions are transmitted through the bloodstream, end up in the liver to be cleansed, and emotional toxins can remain trapped. As a result, the liver often becomes a storage place for anger, resentment, bitterness, hatred, jealousy, envy and a host for destructive feelings.

COMPOSITION: Ylang ylang (Cananga odorata), lavandin (Lavandula x hybrida), geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), sandalwood (Santalum album) and blue tansy (Tanacetum annuum) in an olive oil base.

Valor: "Courage" is a blend of essential oils of superior value, which works with both the physical and spiritual aspects of the body, balances and equalizes the body's energies, therefore increasing the oxygen supply to the pineal gland, the seat of the intuitive faculties.Valor strengthens inner resources, helps the body to regain balance and inner orientation, strengthens the feeling of strength and self-confidence. COMPOSITION: Spruce (Picea mariana), rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora), blue tansy (Tanacetum annuum) and frankincense (Boswellia carteri) in an almond oil base.

Bonding with Biblical Oils

History of the use of essential oils

Numerous testimonies and studies attest to the fact that in ancient times the notion of oil or oil was well known, and in the Bible there are over 200 references to aromatic oils and perfumes (today's essential oils), more precisely there are 264 references and 33 oils mentioned. In Exodus it is mentioned how God gave Moses a command and instructions on how and what to contain Holy Oil: Myrrh, Scented Cinnamon, Scented Cane or Obligeana, Cassia and Olives.

Fragrant oils were part of the daily life of the Israelites, the early Christians and the surrounding inhabitants.

The connoisseurs of those times knew precisely which aromas brought them comfort and joy, which relieved them of worry and stress, or which helped them think more clearly. They also used certain oils which elevated them, helping them to be more effective in their prayers and spiritual activities, these teachings being passed down from generation to generation.

Proverbs 27:9 "As oil and frankincense gladden the heart, so sweet is the loving counsel of a friend." Essential oils such as Tamaia, Smyrna, Aloes, Cassia and many others have the property of lifting the emotional state and boosting good mood.

Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart is a good medicine, but a wicked spirit dries up the bones." It is known today that a joyful state as well as a positive outlook strengthens the immune system and thus we are less vulnerable to various diseases. In addition, the 'joy' oil created by Young Living can be of real use when we feel we need a boost and support in this direction.

David says in Ps 51:7 "Cleanse me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."

In ancient times Hyssop was used for spiritual cleansing, freedom from addictions and vices. It was valued for its aid in meditation and for the physical and emotional release it produced. Today, in addition to many uses, Isop essential oil is used to reduce anxiety and emotional balance.

Some essential oils are also mentioned in the life of Jesus.

Matthew 2:11 "And when they came into the house, and saw the child with Mary his mother, they fell on their faces and worshipped him, and opened their treasures and brought him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh. John 12:3 "Mary took a quart of pure spikenard myrrh of great price, anointed Jesus' feet, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the smell of myrrh."

The oil that appears in the Bible refers to olive oil used for wounds and to anoint the sick. There are also references to a mixture of aromatic oils based on olive oil, which was used to anoint the head as a sign of honour and respect. (Luke 7:46, Hebrews 1:9)

The practice of "anointing with oil" also appears in the teachings of the apostles, as a practice that preceded prayer for healing the sick. James 5:14 "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray for him, after they have anointed him with oil in the name of the Lord."

The 12 oils chosen by Gary Young to make up the set of Biblical oils are Myrrh, Lemongrass, Cedar, Cassia, Galbanum, Onycha, Nard, Hyssop, Sandalwood, Myrtle, Cypress, Cystus

ONICIA Distilled from tree resin, Onycha oil has the highest concentration of esters: 70%. It has a calming, anti-stress effect and promotes emotional release. Inspires a feeling of protection.

CASSIA Distilled from the bark of the tree, Cassia oil has the highest concentration of aldehydes, 80%. It is a powerful detoxifier at the cellular level, very effective in strengthening the immune system and cleansing nerve receptors. It has a strong antibacterial and antiviral effect.

CEDAR Cedar oil is distilled from the branches of the tree and has a concentration of 77% monoterpenes. For this reason it is a very powerful antimicrobial and acts effectively in cellular reprogramming. It is said that Noah's ark was built from Cypress wood, which is why this oil, 'when the flood comes', helps to preserve us.

CEDARWOOD Cedarwood oil is distilled from the bark of the tree and has the highest concentration of sequiterpene, 98%. It ensures good oxygenation and reprograms at the genetic level. The Temple of Solomon was built from cedar wood. The Jewish belief was that its aroma helped the king to manifest a state of mental clarity conducive to making the right decisions for the good of the people.

MYRRH Myrrh oil is distilled from the resin collected from the trunk and branches of the tree. It is the biblical oil that energetically 'pairs' with Frankincense. With a concentration of 60% sesquiterpenes and 20% furanoids, it creates an environment that is not conducive to the growth of cancer cells. Balances the thyroid gland and strengthens the immune system.

SANDALWOOD Sandalwood oil is distilled from the wood of the tree and has a sesquiterpene concentration of over 90%. It has an anti-mutagenic effect on DNA. Stimulates melatonin secretion, which promotes deep and restful sleep. It relieves stress and is an effective antidepressant. It is frequently used in spiritual rituals.

GALBANUM Galbanum oil is distilled from the resin from the branches of the tree. The concentration of 75% monoterpenes makes it very effective in reprogramming cells, especially nerve cells. Powerful antiseptic. Calms hyperactivity, induces a feeling of protection.

MYRTLE Myrtle oil is distilled from the leaves of the tree. It reveals the "beauty of life". It has a beneficial effect on the skin and is widely used in dermatocosmetics. Induces tranquillity and relaxation.

NARD Distilled from the root of the plant, Nard oil is 50% sequiterpene and 36% monoterpene. It frees us from the fear that we are not good enough, gives us the courage to serve ourselves and accept ourselves as we are.

HYSSOP Distilled from the stem and leaves of the plant, Hyssop oil is 48% ketone and 30% monoterpene. It clears the upper airways through anti-inflammatory, mucolytic and decongestant effects. Emotionally 'purifying' effect.

THEME Frankincense oil is distilled from resin from the trunk of the tree and contains 82% monoterpenes. It has been considered for thousands of years to be "the one that can do anything". It is anti-inflammatory, healing, analgesic, immunomodulating, anti-aging. It relaxes but also increases concentration. It promotes connection with the spiritual world.

CISTUS The oil is distilled from the stem of the Stone Rose, Cistus, and contains 54% monoterpenes. It is successfully used in trauma therapy, promoting wound healing, both physically and emotionally.
